Before Kanye West proposed to [redacted] on Monday night, he honored and presented ”12 Years A Slave” director Steve McQueen with the Breakout Director Award.

I’ve always admired Steve’s work, one of the things I loved was just the way he held the shots. I thought that was extremely modern and felt so much more like real life." West called McQueen’s film "extremely moving.”

West and McQueen previously collaborated on Kanye’s MTV Video Music Awards performance of “Blood on the Leaves.”

ship it.

When someone comes up and says something like, ‘I am a God’, everybody says, Everybody says ‘Who does he think he is’?. I just told you who I thought I was, A GOD! I just told you! That’s who I think I am! Would it have been better if I had a song that said ‘I Am a Nigga’? Or if I had a song that said ‘I’m a Gangsta’? Or if I had a song that said ‘I Am a Pimp’? All those colors and patinas fit better on a person like me, right? But to say you are a God? Especially when you got shipped over to the country that you’re in, and your last name is a slave owner’s, how could you say that? How could you have that mentality?

10 Best Dressed Male Musicians

Someone asked me who my favourite male musician was the generic answer is Kanye West but is he really still number 1? Has music’s newcomers such as A$AP and Frank Ocean taken over? Check it out, let us know who we missed and who’s really number 1.

10. Jay Z & Diddy
Would it really be a list without these two moguls?

9. Usher
Style is like wine." That’s not a Usher quote but I just thought it while I was thinking about Idris Elba with his salt and pepper coiffeur, winning smile in a navy suit, and now I’m completely off topic. Usher stopped aging but his style continues to impress.

8. Lenny Kravitz.
The chameleon of Rock n’ Roll" has donned just about every style you can imagine. Everything from a buzz cut to locks to his amazing Afro looks, Kravitz has done it all. With two
nose rings, nipple rings, and occasionally a man-purse, Lenny Kravitz style is always one to watch.

7. Nas.
Since Nas teamed up with June Ambrose his style went from 6 to 20 overnight and I’m totally here for it. Who else can rock patterned trousers and a bowtie and still look that hot?

6. Frank Ocean.
If someone asked me to describe my personal everyday not at the photo shoot style, they’d probably say I’m bland and boring but some people call that timeless so i don’t know.

5. Big Sean & Tyga.
Their styles are almost identical so I guess it’s who you prefer.
If girlfriends were a tie-breaker, we all know who will come out on top.image
